Box of Shorts - Short Film Competition 2008


From Cumbria or Made in Cumbria

If you've ever dreamed of your films being shown on the big screen and you are from Cumbria or making films In Cumbria, the KeswickFilm Festival 2008 is the easiest way to help get your talent known. All you have to do is make a film and enter it in the festival - simple!

We accept films made by students or professionals; it is the fact that you have some relationship with Cumbria that makes us want you to enter your film into our festival. We have just run an under 19s competition but if you missed that submit your film now.

This is your chance to see your film on the big screen and win a 1st prize of £200.00 in cash or a 2nd prize of £100.00 in cash.

Entry is free for submissions entered before 5pm on Saturday 15th March.

New Visions - Young People's Film Festival 2008

Thanks to funding from the Cumbria Community Foundation and the Department for Children, Schools and Families we are having a short film competition for under 19 year olds living or born in Cumbria. This has been organised by the Cumbria Film Collective on our behalf.

The competition is now closed but come along and see the results on Sunday 10th Febuary in the Alhambra at 10:30am. Entrance is free and Russell Cherrington from CCF will introduce and comment on the films.
