A workshop with award-winning scriptwriter and author Jim Eldridge
![]() |
Jim Eldridge has been a scriptwriter for 35 years and has had over 250 TV and 250 radio scripts broadcast in the UK and across the world, and three films shown theatrically. He is the creator and writer of Radio 4's long-running King Street Junior, BBC TV's sci-fi series Powers and was a key member of the writing teams on The Ghost Hunter, Julia Jekyll and Harriet Hyde, as well as many more TV and radio series. He has also had 60 books published. He has been an invited juror three times for the BAFTAs. He currently has a new TV drama-comedy in production, and more projects in development. The Scriptwriting Workshop will begin with a Q&A session, in which Jim will answer your questions on all aspects of both the art and the business side of scriptwriting and production. Jim will then explain why certain script formats are used. Then the attendees will work together to create a film script, developing characters and stories. The Workshop is an insider's view of both the industry and the art of scriptwriting. It will be held at the Theatre By The Lake Studio. Date: Saturday 17th February 2007. Time: 0930-1130. Seats are available at £6. Details of Jim's writing credits can be found at his website. |
