Submissions FAQ

When is the deadline for entry? If your film is completed now, please submit it as soon as possible - otherwise, the entry deadline is 15th March 2008

Is there an entry fee? There is no entry fee.

Who can enter? The films are made by any grouping of people from Cumbria or filmed in Cumbria and must only be made in the last year 2007/8.

What years of production are eligible? Films completed in 2007

What format must the film entry be on? For consideration, VHS tape (PAL), DVD (Region 2).

What formats does KESWICK screen? DVD

Are there any Competitions? Keswick has two prizes £200 and £100 plus Festival Passes

Do you need images or stills of the film at this stage? No, film publicity materials are only requested once a film is selected.

How and when will I hear if my film is selected? Contacts for selected films will receive confirmation by email or letter by 31st March 2008. If you have not received confirmation by that date, your film will not have been selected: due to the amount of films submitted to Keswick, it is not possible to contact everyone.

Will my tape be returned? You must include a stamped-addressed envelope with your entry if you require your tape to be returned.

I have another query, how can I get in contact with you? Call the Film Festival Office on 01228 409769 or email shorts@keswickfilmfestival.org
